I hope everyone received my email on Friday about my updated webpage. If you have not gotten a chance to look at it, please do. One of my goals this year for the new Teacher Evaluation program is to increase parent communication via technology. One of the methods is through the use of a blog and another is using Remind 101. I will pose questions to my parents on my blog to encourage open communication and feedback. I will also post helpful sites and tips to so your students can become the best third graders possible. Remind 101 is a program that allows me to send text messages to you. You will not see my actual cell phone number nor will I see yours. I intend on using the Remind 101 for field trip, long term project and other events that would require a quick reminder such as conferences, and changes in schedules. Signing up is incredibly easy. All you have to do is text @misspantal to (860)484-0028. You will receive a message that asks you to reply with your name. Once you do that, you are entered into the system and I can message you! My goal is 100% participation with Remind 101 so please consider signing up. Your participation and support with my blog and Remind 101 will help me receive a more positive review on my evaluation. http://misspantalena.weebly.com/
If you did not receive an email from me, please email me. [email protected] I had a few emails returned to me as I think I have the wrong emails for some of you. If you do not want to receive emails, I understand, however, if you do, please email me so I can add you to my email list.
Room 2 would like to congratulate Kaelin for being this week’s Star Student! Kaelin has been working extremely hard and has been sharing some very insightful comments during lessons. Kaelin shows all of our Core Values on a daily basis. She truly is a Star Student. Congratulations Kaelin, Room 2 is extremely proud of you!
Room 2 would also like to congratulate Monica for winning the first Star Card raffle. Korn School has a new school wide behavior reward system. Students that are caught going above and beyond the normal expectations are given a Star Card. The Star Cards are entered into a raffle. This week’s prizes included a Smencil and a Harry Potter book. At the end of the week, students’ names are drawn. Monica was the recipient of a Smencil.
Thank you for your continued support!
Warmly,
Miss Pantalena
