I am sending home a long term project this Wednesday focused on the Winter Olympics. Students are asked to watch, research and present upon an Olympic event. The project is also available on our website: http://misspantalena.weebly.com/olympic-project.html Please email me if you have any questions. I hope you will enjoy watching the Olympics as much as I do!
The students will be bringing home information about Pennies for Patients this week. We will have a short assembly to get the kids excited about collecting pennies. Please try to contribute; even the smallest amount could make a difference!

You will receive an email from our room parents about the special snack we will be having on February 13. We were asked not to have the typical classroom party so we can optimize the academic hours throughout the day. Our special snack will be at the very end of the day. Students will enjoy a treat and be able to hand out their cards. I will provide bags for the students to decorate so they can collect and bring home their Valentine’s Day cards.
Room 2 would like to congratulate Jaden for being this week’s Star Student! Jaden has been working extremely hard in math this week. His hand has been in the air for almost every question I asked the class. Keep up the amazing work Jaden!
I am looking for parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to volunteer 30 minutes of their time throughout the month of February to come in and read to the class to help us celebrate Read Across America. Please email me if you are interested!
Warmly,
Miss Pantalena
