We have a busy week ahead of us. This Tuesday is the Chorus concert at 6:30. Students need to be at the high school by 5:55. I have not seen a notice go home yet but I believe students are asked to wear spring colored clothing. Please ask your student for updated information when they get home Tuesday since we are having a rehearsal Tuesday afternoon. They will get updated information at the rehearsal. Due to the concert, students will not have homework on Tuesday night.
This Thursday is our Middlefield trip. Students will leave on the bus with me shortly after 9. Students will then get a guided tour of their town. We will meet parents around noon at the Wadsworth Mansion. I will send out a text via Remind 101 to give parents a better idea of when we will be arriving. Please dress according to the weather. The afternoon will include a hike. Students are asked to wear sneakers, and bring a bagged snack, lunch and drink. Parents are welcome to join us at the Mansion.
We have had a lot of trouble turning our voices off and remaining respectful the last week and a half. Please review our classroom rules with your child. I understand that the weather is getting nicer and students have a lot of after school sports but we still have a lot to get done before the year is officially over. We could get a lot more accomplished if we have fewer clip moves.
Rules
· I will show respect by waiting my turn.
· I will be safe and listen.
· I will be a respectful listener.
· I will be kind, truthful and trustworthy.
· I will try my best and learn.
A permission slip for our final field trip will be coming home today. Students will take a walking tour of Durham. There is no cost associated with this trip since our feet are our means of transportation! Parents are welcome to meet us at school at 9 to leave promptly at 9:05. Students will need sneakers, a drink, snack and lunch.
Congratulations to Riley for being this week’s Star Student! Riley has been working very hard to focus on these beautiful days. She is doing a wonderful job as her third grade career comes to an end. Congratulations Riley, Room 2 is proud of you!
Thank you,
