I would like to invite everyone to come visit me this Saturday at The Taste of Wallingford on Main Street. My Fire Department will be selling sausage and pepper and meatball subs. If you can visit me, I will be there between the hours of noon and five. If for some reason, you stop by and I am not there, have one of the guys call me. I live right around the corner and probably will be home quickly walking Stryker.
Room 2 would like to congratulate Gianna for being this week’s Star Student! Gianna comes in smiling every single day and she is ready to learn from the moment she steps foot into Room 2. Keep working hard Gianna, Room 2 is very proud of you!
Please remind your student to make sure their weekly Reader’s Response Question gets completed and handed in every Monday. I posted a “formula” for a Reader’s Response Question on the homework portion of our website. The formula helps students answer the questions in full sentences with evidence from the text. If your student loses his or her homework log, it is available for download on the homework portion of our website.
Please ask your student about “Saving Sammy.” We did a team building science experiment on Thursday. The kids had to save Sammy the worm by putting a gummy lifesaver around his neck without using their hands. Some teams did extremely well, while others struggled. The teams that succeeded the quickest, listened to each other and took turns. There are pictures of the students Saving Sammy and other events from the first day of school on our website
Warmly,
Miss Pantalena
