Two weeks ago I challenged the class to make “selfless act” statements. Students wrote their selfless acts on an American flag and the acts are now hung in the classroom. Please ask your child what selfless act he/she picked. The kids came up with some very sweet ideas!
Congratulations to Natalie and Riley. Both of the girls were randomly picked to be Room 2 Student Senate Representatives. The girls will do an amazing job representing our class. Student Senate meets every other Monday and they discuss events around the school such as Pennies for Patients, school store, Summer Send Off, Movie Frenzy, food and clothing drives.
Another congratulations go out to Riley for being this week’s Star Student. Riley has transitioned to third grade expectations extremely well. In addition, Riley is a very sweet and helpful young lady that is always participating in classroom discussions. Congratulations Riley, room 2 is very proud of you! Keep up the hard work!
Thank you to the parents that signed up for Remind 101 last week. Your son or daughter was given a homework pass good for one night of homework. I will extend the incentive to sign up one more week! Please text @d233f to (860)554-0082 to sign up.
Unfortunately I do not think that I can make the Durham Fair this weekend. I have a busy weekend full of family events planned. If I am able to make it to the fair, I will send out a Remind 101 text. If students find me, I will give them a free homework pass Monday at school.
Warmly,
Miss Pantalena
