Friday will be a fun filled day! It is the first of two second grade transition days. The third graders will host the second graders for the day morning. The second graders will be listening to a chorus practice and will enjoy an assembly along with our students. After the second graders head back to Brewster, our kids will enjoy their pizza reward and an early dismissal.
Room 2 would like to congratulate Kyle for being this week’s Star Student! Kyle has been working extremely hard while in Room 2. He has a positive attitude and is willing to try new concepts. Congratulations Kyle, Room 2 is proud of you. Keep being the awesome kid that you are!
I hope your student has been coming home and sharing with you the Mystery Skypes we have been doing. We get paired up with classrooms around the United States…and maybe someday out of the United States and both classrooms try to locate each other by asking yes or no questions. Once we have found each other, the students take turns sharing facts about their states and schools. We have found new friends in Utah, California, Maine and Iowa. We have another Mystery Skype scheduled this week. I wonder where our new friends will be from?
Friday afternoon, Korn School hosted a special lunch for the Senior Citizens. Room 2 students were the greeters. They did an amazing job holding welcoming and chatting with the seniors that came for lunch. Awesome job kids, I knew you’d do a wonderful job representing Korn School!
Since the weather is finally starting to warm up, please send your student to school with a sealable water bottle. The kids play hard at recess and often come in very red faced and thirsty. Having water readily available on their desks would be beneficial.
Warmly,
Miss Pantalena
