After breakfast, the students will participate in a “Wacky Pen Exchange!” Students are asked to bring in one wrapped wacky pen for the exchange. A wacky pen is anything but a typical pen. It could be a candy cane, have pom poms hanging off of it. It could be in the shape of a character. It could be anything besides a typical pen. Please send in one wrapped pen on or before December 20. I will read T’was The Night Before Christmas aloud to the class. Everytime I say the word “the” the students will switch packages. At the end, each student will be able to open up their new pen! Once the pen exchange is over, I kindly ask parents to leave so the class can begin creating a gift for their families. =) Thank you for understanding!
This Friday is the Holiday Concert. The Kindergarten and First grade performance is at 1:00. The second and third grade performance begins at 2:30.
I hope everyone enjoyed the Third Grade Newsletter that was sent home on Friday on green paper. Starting now, every month, students will bring home an edition of the Third Grade Newsletter. It will have curriculum updates and information about what students experienced during that month. It will also have highlights for the upcoming month. If you did not receive a copy of the newsletter, please let your child’s teacher know or visit Brewster School’s Facebook page. Mrs. Checko will upload the newsletter to Facebook this week.
Room 5 would like to congratulate Cameron for being this week’s Star Student! Cameron has been working exceptionally hard recently. He is participating more in class discussions and he is becoming extra responsible. Thank you Cam for all of your hard work. Keep working hard! Room 5 is very proud of you!
Warmly,
Miss Pantalena
