Hopefully we will be able to reschedule our Weathering and Erosion walk for sometime this week. I am waiting confirmation but I am expecting it to occur on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. I will share more information about the date when I receive the confirmation. Students do not need to do anything special to prepare for this walk. The only thing I would suggest would be wearing sneakers.
We will be releasing our trout this Wednesday into Allyn Brook. All year we have been taking care of the trout. We raised them from egg stage and now that they are about two inches long, they are old enough to release them!
Room 2 would like to congratulate Jacob for being this week’s Star Student! Jake came back from break ready to work! He has been working incredibly hard and participating in lessons. He is also putting extra effort into his work. Congratulations Jacob, Room 2 is extremely proud of you!
We are about to embark on SBAC testing. Mrs. Stone sent home the schedule in last week’s Wednesday envelope. Dr. Berry also sent home a notice explaining how the test will be administered. As a teacher’s standpoint, my hope is that my students will try their best, whatever that may be. We have learned a lot this year so as long as my kids try their best, I will be extremely proud. This week the kids will be taking the ELA tests. The following week the kids will take the math tests.
If you have not returned the spring photos and/or money, please do so soon. If all of my kids return the photos/money then my classroom will receive a monogramed poster. If everyone in the school returns their photos/money then the school will get a bike donated. Last year it was raffled off and a fourth grader received it.
Since the kids are running around at recess more, they are asking to leave the room to get drinks from the water fountain more often. Instead of drinking from the fountain, kids are welcome to bring in a water bottle that can be closed to keep at their desks.
Thank you for your continued support,
Miss Pantalena
