Thank you to all of the wonderful parents that donated items for our ice cream celebration. The boys and girls enjoyed handing out Valentine’s Day cards and the special snack. Thank you again for all of the support you have shown this year.
We are learning to identify the main character’s point of view in language arts. We learned how to identify if the author is for or against a nonfiction subject. We are currently learning how to identify the character’s point of view in a fiction text. The main texts we are using are The Three Little Pigs and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. The boys and girls can clearly see that it’s the same story told two different ways. We are also discussing the point of view on worms in Marty McGuire Digs Worms. Please discuss point of view with your child to help him/her grasp the concept.
