Last week the boys and girls were given a non-fiction book to read. The topics were snakes, sharks or crocodiles. They read the books, paraphrased the information they learned and then created a Puppet Pal presentation. I am in the process of getting the Puppet Pal presentations ready to be published on our classroom website. Please check back towards the end of the week to view your child’s presentation!
Room 2 would like to congratulate Kyle for being this week’s Star Student. Kyle has been working extremely hard to complete all of his work and to participate in class. His efforts are showing and are appreciated. Keep up the hard work Kyle! Room 2 is proud of you!
The boys and girls will start receiving spelling homework. We practiced the assignments for their spelling homework last week in class. The words are all individualized based on the results from the Rebecca Sitton high frequency spelling test the class took earlier in the year. The words that your son or daughter will be practicing are the words that were incorrect on the pretest. The spelling homework will be assigned every Monday (with the exception of this week) and is due on Friday morning.
Last Friday I sent home multiplication study packets. Please continue to have your student practice addition and subtraction facts along with multiplication for ten minutes every night.
Thank you for your support,
Miss Pantalena
P.S. Please continue sending in items for the Amazing Grace canned food drive.
